The Co-Founder of the search engine giant, Google, and the company’s current CEO have something more than the multinational organisation in common. Interestingly both Sergey Brin and Sundar Pichai’s sons have a thing for cryptocurrencies as they both are Ethereum miners.

Pichai has made the interesting revelation at the recently held New York TImes DealBook conference where he claimed that his crypto savvy son mines the cryptocurrency Ethereum on a computer that was built by Pichai himself. Pichai was a speaker at the conference and his keynote, ironically, revolved around the discussion of tech addiction, and why there is need for limiting screen time among kids.

At the conference, Pichai was quoted as saying:

“Last week I was at dinner with my son, and I was talking about something about bitcoin and my son clarified what I was talking about was ethereum, which is slightly different. He’s 11 years old, and he told me he’s mining it.”

Interestingly, Pichai was asked by the audience if he helped built a server to help his son mine the Ether. To which Pichai answered in the negative asserting the fact that their family only has one computer at home.
